What we do

Four things, done properly.

We are a design and build crew of eleven, not a franchise. The same people who draw your yard are the ones who turn up to build it.

Before and after

Drag it. Same back yard.

Overgrown, waterlogged and unusable in March. By June it drained properly, held a lawn, and had somewhere to sit. Eighteen working days, start to finish.

A few from the last two years, all drawn, priced and built by the same eleven people.

Why Oakline

The boring parts are the ones that matter.

Anyone can plant a nice-looking bed. Staying on schedule, holding the price, and turning up again in year three is the hard bit.

  • A fixed price, in writing

You get the full number before we start. No allowances, no change orders halfway through.

  • One crew, no subcontractors

The masonry, carpentry and planting are all ours. Nobody disappears to another job midweek.

  • A full year on the plants

Anything we install that fails in the first twelve months gets replaced free, no argument.

Reviews

"They showed up when they said, finished when they said, and charged what they quoted. After two other companies, that felt like a miracle."

KM
Kelsey M.Mount Pleasant

"Our back yard held water every time it rained. They regraded the whole thing and put in a French drain. Two hurricane seasons later, still dry."

DR
Devon R.West Ashley

"The design was genuinely thoughtful. They talked me out of two things I wanted because they would not have survived the summer here."

Alicia T.Daniel Island

"Three quotes, and Oakline was the only one who measured anything. The price never moved from the first number they gave us."

"A shrub died in the first winter. They replaced it without me even having to ask twice. That is why they still cut our grass."

Questions

Straight answers.

How much does landscaping cost in Charleston?
Most Oakline projects land between $4,500 and $45,000. A planted bed refresh starts around $4,500, a paver patio with lighting runs $14,000 to $28,000, and a full property redesign on a new build is usually $30,000 upward. Weekly lawn maintenance starts at $52 a visit. You get a fixed number in writing before anything begins.
How fast can you start?
We quote within one business day of the walk around. Maintenance normally starts the following week. Design and build work is typically booked three to five weeks out in spring and one to two weeks out between October and February.
What areas do you cover?
Oakline Landscapes serves Charleston, Mount Pleasant, Daniel Island, West Ashley, James Island, Johns Island, Sullivan's Island, Isle of Palms and Summerville. If you are outside that ring, call and we will tell you honestly whether it makes sense.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Oakline is a licensed South Carolina landscaping contractor, licence #LS-118420, and carries $2 million in general liability plus full workers compensation. Certificates go out with every estimate without you having to ask.
What happens if a plant dies?
Every plant we install is covered for twelve months. If it fails and it is not down to something like a vehicle or a drought restriction, we replace it free, including the labour.
When is the best time to plant here?
October through March. Planting outside the summer heat lets roots establish before the first real stress, which is late July and August in the Lowcountry. We will still plant in summer, we just water more and choose differently.
